Almost 9 miles this morning with 4 at tempo. Fastest mile was 7:41 & ran last .78 at 7:25. The refuel: coffee, of course, & a vanilla @vega_team protein shake with some spinach & cinnamon. Tastes like cake. Time to weekend! 😎☀️👠🥂🍴🍪💃🎼

I've been on "sabbatical" from creating recipes & food blogging for a few years now. In the interim, I tried other people's recipes. Tonight, I decided to make a recipe from my 2nd cookbook #CelebrateVegan, one of the first cookbooks to cover #veganholidays. Turns out my Spicy Seitan Wings with Cumin-Harissa Dipping Sauce have stood the test of time 😂🌶 .

Ready to run in the midday sun ☀️😎🏃‍♀️ I just could *not* get up to run this morning 😩 Fatigue is settling in. So I went to my morning meeting in Old City then ran at lunchtime in the blazing sun. 6 turtle 🐢 miles for me today kept my heart rate nice & low. Also broke in my second pair of Nike ZoomFlys (see link in bio for review)

Last few weeks before the marathon, & the hay is in the barn. The hardest work is done & I'm pretty much at peak fitness. Still, 4 easy miles this morning felt difficult on tired legs after a tough workout last night on the tready. Yesterday, I did 2 warm-up miles then 2 x15 minutes at marathon pace & faster (8:00; 7:38) with a 3:00 jog between then a cool down. I like treadmill workouts but also love seeing vistas like this on my morning runs.
